Who Runs the Water? The Role and Importance of Water Utilities in Keeping Our Water Safe
The average person in U.S. uses an average of 2,000 gallons of water per day – a rate that’s higher than any other country in the world. More than five years ago we had seen drought in California with areas hit the hardest being Central Valley, Sierra Nevada Mountains and large areas of central southern costs. In the spring of 2014, lead had managed to get into the water of Flint Michigan. Residents used this water for drinking, cooking and teeth brushing. The water crisis left behind potential ongoing health problems for an estimated 6,000 to 12,000 children may have to face. These issues can include damaging effects to children’s brain and nervous systems. Read more.
