Lung Cancer is by far the leading cause of cancer deaths among men and women, claiming more lives than breast, colon and prostate cancers combined - killing twice as many women as breast cancer. But, there is a stigma associated with lung cancer – that only those who smoke will get the disease, so in some way they are responsible for their illness. September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month Ovarian cancer accounts for more deaths than any other gynecologic cancer in the United States. According to the American Cancer Society, more than 22,000 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the U.S. and about 14,000 will die from the disease this year.
