US Alpine Skier and Olympian Ted Ligety Part of Team Rockin’

American Ski sensation talks about Winter Games and maintaining peak physical performance Ted Ligety is a three-time Olympian, two-time Gold Medalist, and 25-time World Cup champion. Now, the American skiing sensation is gearing up for another run at the podium in the upcoming Winter Games. A dominant force in the men’s alpine circuit, Ligety burst onto the scene in 2006 at the age of 21 and has been racking up wins on the big stage ever since. He enters the 2017-18 season looking to add to his already impressive resume of five World Championships and 25 World Cup wins.  Here’s another win for the American skier. This is the first installment of a three-part-series highlighting the theme of community immunity this flu season. Why are we discussing community immunity? Because the flu prevention goes beyond individual health and the health of our families – it extends to the community at large. From coast to coast, many hospital emergency rooms are teeming with people suffering from flu or flu-like symptoms, as experts warm this could be one of the worst flu seasons in recent memory. The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention reports the flu and flu-like illnesses are widespread, now reaching many states; the outbreak is described as “high” in 26 states. 1 The vast majority of these cases are from the influenza A H3N2 virus, which has been associated with a higher than normal number of hospitalizations and deaths among young children and senior citizens over the age of 65. 2 Read more and watch the video
